The Wysteria SMP is a whitelisted, mostly vanilla survival server with a focus on relaxed game play. Since its inception in 2019, it has seen countless members dedicate time to building bases and forging friendships. During this time, it has been known by a few different names until Wysteria was settled on. This webpage documents each iteration of the server, as well as a bit of information about them. The server is currently live! If you are interested in playing please get in touch. Applications are not guaranteed.

Dubbed the "Wysteria Interlude Server", Promethium was a fast paced but short lived iteration. While not an official iteration of the server, it existed only to fuel the desire to play some Minecraft between a few members of Wysteria. As such, it existed as a brief intermission between major maps. It only existed for less than a month, and nothing major was ever constructed. Still, the few who played had fun doing so.
December 2021 - Feburary 2022
Currently the shortest iteration, Wysteria SMP enjoyed a short life. Heavily characterized by a close knit yet short lived player base, the 1.18 update combined with a limited world size (4k by 4k) and proximity voice chat kept things fresh. However, after a while a noticeable drop in the player base led to the server becoming a ghost town. As such, the world came to an end due to a lack of general interest.
January 2021 - October 2021
The unofficial 3rd season of CatFace's Minecraft Server, Quercetum aimed to take the success of season 2 and bring it to a larger scale. With over 20 players at its peak, Quercetum was the busiest the server has even been. Early on, there was a conflict between two groups that led to a chunk of the player base leaving, but despite this the server was enjoyed by many.
Early 2020 - January 2021
Season 2 started after many new members were recruited to join. The exact start date isn't known as the old Discord server was abandoned for a new one in May 2020, but its likely to have been a month or two before that. This iteration of the server saw many large bases, projects, collaborations, and pranks between the members at the time. It is often regarded as one of the better times on Wysteria.
October 2019 - Early 2020
Originally created for a group of friends, this period would retroactively become the first season, or iteration, or CatFace's Minecraft Server. Originally temporarily hosted by someone else, CatFace would quickly step up to provide dedicated hosting and take leadership over the group. However, things would eventually become a bit rocky between group members and many would end up leaving.
